Renewable energies

The growing demand for energy combined with increasingly limited natural resources is challenging society to use energy as efficiently and sustainably as possible. Besides the pollution resulting from burning fossil fuels humanity will reach a point were these resources will be nearly depleted. Society needs to actively the use of renewable energies or energies that are continuously replenished (natural ventilation, geothermal, wind power, solar thermal).  Passive houses result in ultra-low energy building that require little energy for space heating or cooling and that maximize the use of renewable energies.
