Green Bud shines with honor

The 2nd Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Practices in China continued the theoretical and strategic system of "social value co-creation" in response to the new CSR concept upheld by SDG. As the first "academic award" in the CSR field, it aims to discover the most avant-garde CSR actions in modern China.

The event, which started in June 2017 and ran for nearly four months, brought together 14 professors of management, environment, law, communication, marketing and public administration from 11 prestigious domestic universities including Fudan University, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University and Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University, to select the winners of the Excellence Award and Merit Award for CSR Practices, the Model Award for Targeted Poverty Alleviation and the Model Award for Philanthropic Organizations from hundreds of practices by vote.

The grant of the award to Landsea shows professional organizations recognition of its capability of "value co-creation" and level of "crossover cooperation" management, and made Landsea an outstanding CSR representative earning wide praise from the industrial circles, academia, the press and other circles.

Philanthropy props up a blue sky

On October 30, 2016, the Clear the Air for Children report released by the United Nations Childrens Fund clearly noted that some 300 million children were suffering serious air pollution across the world, and nearly 600,000 children under the age of five died from air pollution every year.

Shocked by the air pollution caused by Chinas frequent haze to children, Landsea launched the "Green Bud Action" on November 22, 2016, recruiting 10 kindergartens in 10 Chinese cities. In early 2017, it announced the plan to add two disadvantaged children institutions in the hope of renovating the anti-haze central ventilation systems of appropriate kindergartens for free through its experience and technologies of green building accumulated over the past decade.

As a Chinese leading green real estate developer, Landsea started its PM2.5 prevention and control operations early in 2004. Landsea used a fully-replaced central ventilation system in its first green community. It took only two hours to replace indoor air without opening windows. Through primary filtration and medium filtration, the system can filtrate more than 70 percent of PM2.5. As PM2.5 pollution has become increasingly severe and haze has become normal these years, Landsea has conducted R&D to improve PM2.5 filtration efficiency, applied its research findings on Landsea 3.0 housing, and innovatively exploited the way of compound filtration to improve PM2.5 filtration efficiency to 95 percent.

In the anti-haze renovation of the kindergartens, Landsea provided integrated system solutions including air replacement, efficient haze removal, intelligent monitoring, energy conservation and ultra low noise. Through multi-level PM2.5 filtration, rational design of air organization and fresh air volume, Landsea made indoor quality efficient and clean. Besides, Landsea equipped the kindergartens with visual intelligent integrated control panels to facilitate real-time monitoring of indoor air quality by parents and teachers.

The international green chemical giant-"BASF" and Sina Property joined the "Green Bud Action" soon after its beginning to prop up a blue sky for children.

Ten cities team up for Green Bud Action

According to a head of Landsea, within only two months after issuing a notice of recruitment to ten domestic cities in November 2016, Landsea received applications from more than 100 kindergartens across the country. After sifting the applying kindergartens preliminarily, Landsea conducted open and transparent surveys of the selected kindergartens by group, and confirmed the final list for renovation based on the opinions of the professional technical team and the situation of the kindergartens.

To date, the "Green Bud Action" has covered Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding in North China; as well as Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Hefei and other cities in the Yangtze River Delta. The 11 recruited kindergartens are Wuhan Governmental Directly-Subordinate Shuguang Kindergarten, Beijing Blue Sky Navigation International Kindergarten, Chengdu Normal University Longcheng Experimental Kindergarten, Hangzhou Dongxin Experimental Kindergarten, Tianjin Eco-city Hailida Kindergarten, Beijing Chaoyang Chenguang Rehabilitation Center for Children with Cerebral Palsy, Nanjing Gulou Jiangdong Sub-district Kindergarten, Shanghai Changning Bell Kindergarten, Hefei Bird Flying Jiangnan Kindergarten, Affiliated Kindergarten of Suzhou Experimental Primary School and Hebei Baoding Cambridge Kindergarten.

The haze-free kindergartens in Wuhan and Sichuan have gone into operation, the renovation of kindergartens in Beijing, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Nanjing and other cities are under way, and the rest will be renovated successively. Value co-creation promotes green development

Over the past one year since the beginning of the "Green Bud Action", apart from Landseas manpower and material input, government institutions and industrial partners have gradually paid attention to and joined the action. Landsea hoped that more link-minded enterprises would join the action to accomplish CSR value co-creation.
