Landsea National Youth Green Building Summer Camp Was Completed Successfully

On August 20, the National Youth Green Building Summer Camp hosted by China Green Building Council and organized by Landsea Green Property was completed successfully. In the 1-week event, about 30 members came to Landsea to see the green buildings with their own eyes, listen to the lectures about buildings and nature and their combination, and experience the tour of green buildings. 

According to the host and organizer, the Summer Camp attracted about 30 young lovers of green buildings, who were prize winners of Green Building Knowledge Competition for Chinese College Students and High-school Students in July this year. Some of them were PhD candidates and some were 16-year-old high-school students. On August 15, the camp members traveled from all parts of China to the Landsea Head Office in Nanjing to kick off the 1-week experience of green buildings.

Since Landsea International Block in Nanjing, the first project of Landsea, was developed in 2004, Landsea has been focusing on green residences featuring health, environment, comfort and energy efficiency. It has also clarified the strategy of making differentiated development of green tech properties. Till today, Landsea has developed or is developing nearly 50 green tech property projects. In all, it has won 19 green building 3-star certificates, thus consolidating its position as the leading green tech property developer and operator in China. It deserves to be the organizer of the Summer Camp, which presents vividly the knowledge, philosophy and cases of green buildings to the people who will carry on the green building development.

In this Summer Camp, the campers visited 2 representative residential projects of Landsea. One was Landsea Green County in Zhongshan and the other was Landsea Linglong Island. Zhongshan Green County project is the first representative product of Landsea green residence innovative product, which combines many innovation advantages of Landsea. Landsea Linglong Island project adopts the new-generation radiation domestic temperature and moisture environment adjustment system independently developed by Landsea, which can realize room-based adjustment in the apartment. Though many campers were students majoring in green buildings, it was the first time for them to see such large-size green residence project, which was really amazing. 

While visiting the residential project, the campers also visited Landsea Changxing Green Building R&D Base, Landsea Green Residence Museum, etc. to understand Landsea’s research results in environmental pollution and green residence. In the Jiangsu Green Building and Eco Intelligence City Display Center, construction waste recycle project of Green & Environment Tech Corporation, and Phoenix Palace in Wujin District of Changzhou City in Jiangsu Province, the campers saw with their own eyes the leading Chinese green building application projects and their details.

　　Except for the close contact with green buildings, the Summer Camp also held 4 green lecturers and invited the famous Chinese architecture experts Tian Wei, Chen Dongliang, Lyu Weiya and Chang Dazhang to convey the green building knowledge to these young people from different perspectives. Guided by these experts, the campers also discussed green building simulated design, and green building creativity works for competition in Jiangsu Province. In these 2 discussions, they showed their excellent competency and creativity, and understood how the technologies evolved from design to practice. 

After making 1-week green building travel, the campers had deeper understanding of the innovative practice in green buildings. “I wish to thank Landsea for organizing the Summer Camp, which is a pioneering move in the education field and pushes forward development of green building industry”, said Luo Ling from Chongqing University on behalf of most of the campers, “I admire Landsea very much because it has never deemed green building as a selling point. Instead, it is bold enough to take the risks and work as the pioneer of Chinese green buildings.”
